Wheels in Motion Gawler
The Wheels in Motion, Gawler, program commenced in 2018 following the successful state government grant through the Fund My Neighbourhood program. The Wheels in Motion program is designed to assist disadvantaged and at risk young people aged between 17 and 25 across the Gawler area overcome a major barrier to their employment and further education by assisting them to access driver experience enabling them to qualify for their Ps. The program targets young people without access to either an appropriate vehicle where they live or a licensed supervising driver in the household. The program does NOT replace the need to utilise licensed driving instructors, rather supports the achievement of the recommended 120 hours of supervised driving necessary. The program mirror those established in other local communities.
