About the event
Glenyce Gers is dedicated to making a difference to people in the poorest subregion of Uganda, known as Busoga where most of the patients have little or no consistent income. In 2022 she sold all her possessions in Australia enabling her to form a partnership that purchased a 50 bed struggling Ugandan hospital now known as GlenZ Dignity Hospital. In 2023 the Rotary Australia Repurposing Equipment Program (RARE) extended support by providing a container packed full of equipment and supplies that have made a powerful impact. Glenyce is a tireless advocate who is passionate about a current project aiming to equip a well-equipped Emergency Medical Vehicle (the current one is pictured below) as well as sharing news about an innovative opportunity for hands-on training in the areas of allied health, such as laboratory technicians and pharmacists.
